Luxury Chicken, Leek & Ham Hock Pie by James Martin
A stunning pie made with juicy chicken and hand pulled ham hock cooked in rich cream and leek sauce. The pie is made using wonderfully light rough puff pastry and has a distinctive hand roped finish. “A great pie. Stunning.”

|Outstanding flavour, one of the best pies I've ever had. Cooking instructions from frozen are far too short - it needed nearly an hour.|

Your pies come flow wrapped to protect them. They will arrive frozen. If you want to use your pies on the day, or over the next couple of days then store them in the refrigerator. The product can be reheated directly from frozen however the best way is to let it fully defrost before reheating. They can also be defrosted gently in a microwave using the defrost programme on low power. Make sure that the product is out of the foil before you microwave. If you want to keep your pies for later use then put them into the freezer where they can be stored up to the best before date printed on the pack. For best results defrost them in plenty of time as above when you want to use them, or reheat gently from frozen.
This product is fully cooked so you are only reheating to achieve service temperature. Our advice is to take your time, reheat slowly and gently to get the best result. The following are guidelines only as equipment will vary. If reheating from frozen remove pie from foil and place directly onto a baking tray in a preheated oven at 160C for 35 mins, or for defrosted pies 20mins, this will ensure a nice crispy pastry. If in a hurry and the pies are frozen, defrost in microwave on low power or defrost programme before finishing in a preheated oven set to 160C for 20mins.
After reheating the pies will be hot. Using oven gloves or a cloth remove the pies and serve. Please remember that the pie filling will be very hot!
