Your tart arrives flow wrapped to protect it. It will arrive frozen. If you want to use your tart on the day, or over the next couple of days, then store it in the refrigerator until fully defrosted. It can also be defrosted gently in a microwave oven using the defrost programme on low power. Make sure that your product is out of the foil before you microwave it. If you want to keep your tart for later use then put it into the freezer where it can be stored up to the best before date printed on the pack. For best results defrost it in plenty of time as above when you want to use it.
The tart can be enjoyed warm, cold or at room temperature.
This product is fully cooked so you are only re heating to achieve service temperature. Our advice is to take your time, reheat slowly and gently to get the best result. The following are guidelines only as equipment will vary. The tart should be served warm and not piping hot. When defrosted remove the tart from the foil and place directly onto a baking tray in a preheated oven at 160C for 6-10 mins. The tart can be microwaved gently on half power for 2-3 mins. It can also be reheated as above by the portion. Handle the reheated tart carefully it is fragile.
